Patrick Edmond
School Principal
Patrick Edmond attended Mississippi College, earning his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He then achieved a Masters of Education Leadership/Master of Arts in Teaching from Belhaven University. Mr. Edmond continues to expand his knowledge as he is currently a doctoral student earning his Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Supervision K-12 from Jackson State University.
Mr. Edmond knows there's an inequity in education in Mississippi, especially for black and brown students in underserved communities. He wants to change the future for our youth through education. He firmly believes that ALL children deserve the opportunity to thrive in public school education with the adequate resources and support needed to be competitive with their counterparts. Every student deserves educators who will hold them accountable to a high bar of excellence while meeting them where they are. Every day he chooses to lead educators with this in mind.

Mr. Edmond has achieved much throughout his career, including; 2017 New Teacher of the Year in Yazoo City, MS, 2019, Teacher of the Year at Republic Schools, and recent 2023 graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson 35th Cohort. However, his proudest achievement is his two sons, Amariyan Edmond,8, and Zhakai Edmond,7.
