Teacher Fellow


Responsibilities and Duties: Driven by our mission to ensure every child succeeds, the founding teaching fellows will be responsible for ensuring all students are provided with the academic and character skills to firmly position them on the path to college. Teaching fellows work alongside classroom teachers and develop skills in preparation to take lead classroom positions. Elementary Teacher (2021-2022 SY)


Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students 2. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students 3. Prepare lessons that reflect best practices and accommodations for individual differences of students 4. Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor 5. Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior 6. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects to communicate these objectives to the students 7. SPED Teacher (2021-2022 SY)


Responsibilities and Duties: Instructional Strategies: 1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the State Department of Education. 2. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations and differentiation for student learning styles. 3. Collaborate with other members of staff for planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and best practices according to district requirements. 4. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity. Student Growth and Development: 1. Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies, assessment, activities, materials, and technology that reflect accommodations for individual needs of students assigned. 2. Work cooperatively with Students Support Coordinator to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP). 3. Assist students in analyzing and improving study methods and habits. 4. Consistently monitor student achievement through formal and informal assessment and use results to plan for instructional delivery. 5. Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Classroom Management and Organization: 1. Finance Associate


Position Roles and Responsibilities: The Finance Associate is responsible for the daily accounts payable and receivable operations as well as general school compliance task. S/he will cultivate sharing and collaboration within the community and work to build a scalable and efficient finance/operational infrastructure, providing exceptional service and support to our school, ensuring their continued fiscal/operational success, and working to support the schools’ mission and our high expectations for all. Responsibilities of the Finance Associate include, but are not limited to: Business Operations:

  • Work alongside our finance and operations team to drive annual priorities for the School
  • Manage an online library of documents/resources for the school finance/ops team
  • Purchase school supplies/resources in compliance with fiscal procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Title I/II/III and other federal funds
  • Ensures Food Service compliance and claims in accordance with National School Lunch Reimbursement Program (NSLP) requirements
  • Oversee support on program budgeting, fiscal compliance, grant compliance, and reporting.

Grants Management:
  • Generate grants claims and reporting documentation
  • Purchasing & Receivables:
  • Works with the operations team to facilitate purchases while ensuring cost-savings, abiding by internal, state, and federal purchasing laws.
  • Reconcile credit/debit purchases and accounts receivable
  • Generate and distribute Purchase Orders
  • Data input into accounting system
HR Compliance: With the assistance of the back-office and Director of Finance & Compliance, ensure school-wide compliance with health and safety laws, and all federal and state workplace regulations. Bus Driver


Job Responsibilities: The Bus Driver has the primary responsibility for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of the children, staff, and volunteers during bus transportation to and from the school and on field trips. It is also the role of the Bus Driver to ensure that the bus is clean and in proper working condition at all times; determine and follow safe and efficient bus routes and maintain all transportation records required by the school. Essential Functions: 1. Ensures the safety and well-being of children and adults being transported to and from the school and on field trips. 2. Completes a comprehensive written inspection of the bus daily, reporting any conditions of concern to the Director, or delegated staff person, before transporting children. 3. Ensures that the bus always has sufficient fuel. 4. Operates bus in such a way that road and safety regulations are always followed; reports any traffic violations to the Director immediately. 5. Follows procedures to guarantee no child is left alone on a bus without adult supervision at any time, including ensuring all children have departed the bus at the end of all bus routes (morning, evening and during field trips or other special trips). 6. Keeps the bus clean and free of debris; follows other bus cleaning procedures. 7. Routinely inventories bus emergency and first aid supplies and equipment, reports needs to the Operations Director, or delegated staff person. 8. Attend transportation in-service training of bus drivers and other continuing education, career and professional development opportunities. 9. In case of accidents/emergencies, evacuates children according to written and practiced procedures. 10. In the event of an accident, assures that medical emergency procedures are followed; completes a written accident report as required by the delegate's procedure and other authorities. 11. Support student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities as needed. 12. Performs other duties, as assigned. Facilities Manager


Job Description: The Facilities Manager, under the supervision of the Business Operations Management team, will be responsible for the maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of the facility. Additionally, he/she will develop and promote good community relations among community and school clientele. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Schedule daily maintenance and custodial work for on-time completion with high standards/quality via a work order system.
  • Communicate and coordinate with school administrative teams for the functioning of the department to include event setups, reservations, shared spaces, etc.
  • Manage custodial and maintenance teams on campus, including outsourced cleaning services.
  • Minor electrical work
  • Minor plumbing; unplugging sinks and drains where a “snake” can be used
  • Tile repair - floor and ceiling
  • Painting as required
  • Knowledgeable of the fire alarm systems, sprinkler, and security systems and knowledge of their operation and compliance.
  • Checking of both systems on a weekly basis, and completing a log as required by the supervisor
  • Knowledge of the heating and ventilation systems and a maintenance ability sufficient to repair minor problems
  • Minor repairs of doors and lock work
  • Minor carpentry work
  • Snow removal and ice removal on steps and walks
  • Communicate with contract service on the building’s activities
  • Responsible for maintaining and ordering supplies for the entire building
  • Maintain playground equipment
  • Assist kitchen staff as requested
  • Responsible to delegate, or assume responsibility for, and conduct monthly fire alarm tests and annual 100% fire alarm tests.

Interventionalist


Responsibilities and Duties : Driven by our mission to ensure every child succeeds, the Interventionalist will be responsible for ensuring all students are provided with the academic and character skills to firmly position them on the path to college. Key Responsibilities: Instructional Setting

  • Work individually in small or whole groups with students to assess their current level of performance.
  • Provide targeted instructional that meets the needs of each individual student.
  • Write lesson plans and analyze data under the direction of the Director of Academics.
  • Treat all students with dignity and respect.
  • Attend all staff meetings and recommend training programs and conferences, including in-service training as may be required by the district.
  • Operate and care for instructional equipment used in the classroom.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Leadership Team.
  • Follow directions given by the immediate supervisor.
  • Assist with the supervision of students outside the classroom such as field trips, play period, lunchroom activities, dismissal, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality about students, their families, and other employees outside the school.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information, documents, communications, incidents, etc., with discretion and in a conscientious manner.

Academic Coach


Responsibilities and Duties: Driven by our mission to ensure every child succeeds, the Academic Coach will be responsible for driving academic and character outcomes for students as a member of the school’s leadership team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to school-wide planning and prioritize time to accomplish academic goals.
  • Provide input into school-based strategic planning.
  • Model strong staff and student culture.
  • Manage school-wide character development and behavior management systems.
  • Support teachers in understanding processes and roles in student support and intervention.
  • Develops systems and structures to ensure that limited time is spent on reactive student discipline.
  • Manage parts of daily school operations such as arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, etc.
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team on hiring diverse, highly-effective teachers and school staff.
  • Build own and teachers’ instructional knowledge of standards, content, and instructional methods.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of academic standards.
  • Provide high-quality instructional coaching with frequently scheduled teacher observations, actionable feedback, and accountability for adjustment in practice.
  • Coach emerging leaders on instructional coaching practice.
  • Lead or coach others who lead department or grade level meetings that focus on planning for and norming on instruction and culture, practice instructional strategies, and progress monitoring.
  • Recommend to the Leadership Team what school-wide professional development will be the highest leverage in improving student results.
  • Serve as a coach to teachers by providing expert advice on improving and enhancing individual lessons and units based on ongoing analysis. This will include, but is not limited to:
  • Reviewing lesson plans, unit plans, and assessments.
  • Understanding scope and sequence models.
  • Observing classroom instruction and offering comprehensive analysis and feedback.
  • Providing instructional strategies as needed.
  • Supporting the implementation of curriculum, using the backward design model and advising scope and sequence based on essential content knowledge that addresses local, state, and national standards.

Business Administration Intern


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work closely with the Admin Team to complete various school, support, and administrative duties
  • The task will include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Assisting with data management systems
  • Creating marketing materials (e.g., social media, direct mail, and web);
  • Assisting the Leadership Team with professional development;
  • Creating and drafting images, documents, post, etc. for review
  • Planning logistics and selecting materials
  • Purchasing, ordering, and managing a budget with the support of the Operations Leader
  • Assisting with office administrative tasks such as reviewing documents, filing, organizing, printing, and editing materials
