Rasaan Powell

    Rasaan Powell earned her Bachelor of Science in General Studies with an elementary education focus from Alcorn State University and a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from the University of West Alabama. She brings more than 15 years of experience in education and behavioral health, serving as Director of Operations, Interim Principal, Dean of Students, and Athletic Director. In each role, she strengthened restorative practices, improved attendance, and built family engagement. Ms. Powell now serves as Chief Operations Officer at Ambition Preparatory Charter School, where she provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure that resources and staff support align with the school’s mission and priorities.

    Working alongside teachers, students, and families, she has developed expertise in operations, fiscal management, crisis intervention, and community partnerships. Licensed by the Mississippi Department of Education with endorsements in Social Studies, Physical Education, and Psychology, Ms. Powell is committed to fostering an inclusive culture and is excited to support Ambition Prep in developing Mississippi’s next generation of leaders.
