Rena Summers

Rena Summers earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master of Educational Administration and Supervision from Delta State University. She brings more than 15 years of experience in education, serving as a teacher, instructional leader, and school administrator. Over her career, she has supported student culture, instructional quality, and special education services while building systems that strengthen teaching practices and expand support for scholars with diverse learning needs. Ms. Summers now serves as Dean of Academics at Ambition Preparatory Charter School, where she leads instructional planning, coaching, and professional development to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.

Working alongside teachers, students, and families, she collects and analyzes academic and behavioral data to drive improvement, coordinates assessments and compliance, and supports family engagement and community events. Ms. Summers is dedicated to fostering a school culture rooted in high expectations, inclusivity, and authentic relationships. She is excited to continue advancing Ambition Prep’s mission of ensuring every student has access to an excellent education and the opportunity to thrive.
